Until now, it was difficult to answer these questions. That's why we created the new Indicators Space Via Oberta, available to EACAT for all entities using the service. The aim is to help local entities to learn more about how they use interoperability and identify opportunities for improvement.
Why is it important to measure the use of Via Oberta?
Via Oberta It allows you to consult data from other administrations so that citizens do not have to provide documents that are already in the possession of the public sector. Each interoperable consultation is one less document requested from citizens, a more agile procedure and more efficient management.
But having authorized services does not guarantee that they will be used effectively. To improve interoperability, it is necessary to know which services are used, in which procedures and with what intensity.
What does the new Indicators Space allow you to do?
The dashboard offers a complete view of the activity of Via Oberta to your organization and helps you answer key management questions:
- Which services are used the most and which are hardly used?
- Are there authorized services that could be incorporated into more procedures?

Data only has value when it can be contextualized. That's why the new space incorporates a comparative functionality that allows you to analyze the level of use of Via Oberta compared to other municipalities in the same population range.
This makes it easier identify good practices, detect possible areas for improvement and establish realistic goals to increase the use of interoperability.
More control and better governance
The space also incorporates indicators aimed at monitoring and controlling the service. For example, it allows for analysis What times are consultations held?, facilitating the detection of possible inappropriate uses or situations that require review, such as consultations made outside of normal working hours.
It also allows you to know which users concentrate a greater volume of queries, which helps identify training needs, excessive dependencies on certain profiles or possible usage anomalies.
In addition, it shows what percentage of queries are performed through automatic integrations and what percentage is done manually, very useful information to evaluate the degree of automation and maturity of interoperability within the organization.
The objective is to strengthen traceability, governance and the correct use of data, without adding workload to municipal teams.

The Indicator Space of Via Oberta is initially published as a beta versionThe objective of this first version is to validate its usefulness with user entities and collect suggestions for improvement before its definitive consolidation.
Indicators, functionalities and visualizations may evolve based on the experience of use and the feedback received from the city councils and other user entities Via Oberta.
