At the Conference “Revolutionary Local Governments. Let’s tear down walls!”, the session “El Meu Espai: Taxes, Registry, Data” put on the table a very powerful idea for the local world: focusing services on citizens is not optional, it becomes a necessity to move from a fragmented administration to a unified, more useful and more humane digital experience.
In this context, "El meu Espai” is consolidated as an interoperable and inter-administrative Citizen Folder service aimed at making the relationship with citizens more effective and satisfying their needs and rights. More than 1.825 integrated entities are part of the service.
The session was attended by the manager of the Tax Management Agency of the Barcelona Provincial Council, Cristina Casablanca, from the head of the BASE-Revenue Management Organization of the Tarragona Provincial Council, Manuel Jardín and the moderation of Rubén Jericho, head of the Innovation service of the AOC. He highlighted the value of tax management organizations as strategic pieces of local public transformation. Emphasizing that it is not just about digitizing procedures, but about connecting data, processes and services to make a smarter relationship with citizens possible, all while facilitating.
The 2025 figures shared in the presentation detail the situation of the service: more than 1.825 incorporated entities, more than 8 million interoperated entry and exit records, more than 1 million intermediated files, more than 340.000 visitors, more than 86.000 taxes in the pilot phase and more than 33.000 registration flyers.
No cost for user entities, “El Meu Espai” makes it easier for citizens to know the status of their procedures and procedures with the Administration in a simple, simplified and comprehensive way of their actions with an inter-administrative vision thanks to the collaboration within the framework of the Open Government Network of Catalonia.
