- Digital Government Congress
“Advancing (little by little) in proactive and personalized services”: one of the most highly rated sessions at CGD2025
The session “The eIDAS2 digital identity model” has taken third place on the podium of the sessions best rated by the audience attending the fifth edition of the Digital Government Congress (CGD), which took place on March 12 and 13 at the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB).
With the approval of the new eIDAS2 regulation, the deployment of an identity model based on digital wallets begins.
A new paradigm in digital identity
In this session, Xavier Llebaria, head of the AOC Services Area; Dani Ros, Director of Transformation and Innovation at Peakway; and Santi Casas, CEO of Validated ID explained the current stage of the deployment of this model and how this change will impact administrations and citizens. You can download the presentation that was shown during the session.
The session presented the current status of the deployment of the new model, explored several use cases for local administrations showing how this new digital infrastructure can improve efficiency and security in electronic identification, and the AOC Consortium shared details about the idCAT digital wallet project, aligned with eIDAS2.
The high rating of this session reflects the growing interest in digital wallets and the impact of eIDAS2 on digital identity in Europe. Attendees appreciated the combination of theory, practical cases and strategies for implementing this new model.
Project presented to the CNIS
