The AOC participates in the meeting of the group of international metropolitan experts organized by the AMB and the UN-Habitat

The AOC has been invited to participate this year in the annual event organized by the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). This is a session that brings together global metropolitan leaders, policymakers, academics and experts to explore the theme of “Building inclusive and sustainable digital metropolises”.

The director of the AOC, Miquel Estapé, presented the initiative of transparència algorithmic that the AOC applies to services that use artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. The main objective is to foster trust in digital administration services that use data and AI, while ensuring ethical and responsible use. 

With this project, the AOC seeks to promote the transparència, facilitate the understanding of algorithms, encourage citizen participation in their development and ensure quality data for training AI models. This also includes ensuring that algorithms are free from bias and are regularly monitored.
