The EACAT allows greater agility in health procedures between the Department of Health and local entities

The Secretariat of Public Health, in collaboration with the Organization Unit of the General Sub-Directorate of Human Resources of the Services Directorate, has been implementing since June 15, through theEACAT, the last phase of deployment of the electronic communications service in the Tarragona-Terres de l'Ebre Regional Service and the Units of the General Subdirectorate for Surveillance and Response to Public Health Emergencies.
The communications are intended, as well as users, by all local entities in Catalonia.
The electronic public health communications channel was launched in the Barcelona Regional Service in 2011, and since its inception, more than 4.800 communications have been processed between ASPCAT and local entities, through theEACAT.
The deployment of theEACAT is in line with the Interdepartmental Public Health Plan (PINSAP), which in one of its axes proposes an inter-administrative commitment that aims to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of the interventions of the administrations that affect the health of the population, promoting collaboration between administrations, especially in local administration.
