Localret expands its Procurement Center to all local administrations in the State

The Localret Consortium has taken a step forward in extending its digital transformation support services by opening its Central Procurement Center to local administrations throughout Spain and their related entities. This expansion is possible thanks to a modification of the regulation that regulates the Center, which allows any public body included within the scope of the Public Sector Contracts Law (LCSP) to join, regardless of whether it is part of the Consortium or not.

The novelty was announced during the Technical Committee of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), held in Malaga on September 14. At this meeting, Localret presented the shared contracting model that it promotes to facilitate the adoption of digital technologies and services in local governments.

A tool to simplify technology procurement

With this opening, Localret puts its experience in technological public procurement at the service of a much wider range of entities. The Procurement Center offers already structured instruments that allow the acquisition of digital products and services without having to face complete bidding processes for each need.

The use of framework agreements and Dynamic Procurement Systems (DPS) significantly facilitates administrative management, as it reduces the complexity of procedures and the dedication of technical and legal resources. This allows municipal teams to concentrate their efforts on the execution of their modernization projects and the provision of services to citizens.

The offer includes both software licenses and specialized and managed services, adapted to the different realities of local entities. Previously, Localret analyzes the needs of the local public sector and the options available in the market to configure efficient, scalable and legally secure contracting mechanisms.

Adhesion process

The international administrationseresThose wishing to use the Central Contracting Office must formalize a membership application through an agreement adopted by the competent body of the entity. This agreement implies acceptance of the operating rules of the Central and the economic conditions associated with the subscription.

Once the membership has been approved and the corresponding documentation has been presented to the Localret Consortium, the entity will be able to request access to the different framework agreements or SDAs available, according to its specific needs.

Detailed information on the procedure, required documentation and membership modalities is available atwebsite of the Central Contracting Office aimed at local entities in the rest of the State.
