The AOC Executive Committee approves the initiation of the processing of the new statutes to strengthen collaborative governance

The AOC Executive Committee, in a session held on May 4, has approved a series of agreements which we will detail below:

New Statutes

The Executive Committee of the AOC has approved the start of the process of modifying the Statutes of the AOC, a reform that aims to adapt the Consortium to the challenges of the digital revolution and reinforces the Catalan model of digital transformation based on collaboration between the Administration of the Generalitat and local administrations.

The statutory reform pursues four major objectives: strengthening governance with the direct participation of the provincial councils, establishing a new co-financing model that guarantees economic sustainability, adapting the vision and mission of the Consortium to focus action where it provides unique value, and establishing a more efficient and agile management model.

The most outstanding novelty is the proposal to incorporate the four Provincial Councils with representadirect representation to the bodies of the Consortium. With this change, the AOC would become integrated by the Administration of the Generalitat, the Localret Consortium and the Provincial Councils.

Other agreements

In addition to the statutes, the Executive Committee also approved the settlement of the budget, the formulation of the accounts and the activity report for 2025, the public employment offer for 2026 and the initial processing of public prices for 2027 aligned with the new Statutes.
