Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a promise of the future, but a key element of transformation that is redefining the way we work and how we relate to citizens. In this context, on December 11, the Generalitat de Catalunya presented the Guide to Artificial Intelligence, a new resource designed to support public servants in the adoption of this technology.
The Guide was born with the desire to putting technology at the service of people, promoting a smarter, more efficient and closer administration. It's not just about incorporating AI, but doing it with trust criteria, transparència and responsibility, aligned with the values of public service.
What will you find there?
The document offers practical guidance to facilitate responsible adoption of AI in different areas of the public sector, and includes:
- An ethical and safe framework, with guidelines to ensure appropriate and protected use of technology.
- Practical guidelines for the day-to-day life of public employees.
- Reference cases and examples, both national and international.
- Keys to change management, training and organizational innovation
In parallel, within the framework of the Smart Local Government Network, work is also being done on AI user guides specifically aimed at local administrationsThis initiative is led by the Barcelona Provincial Council through the project Local.IA, with the aim of offering practical tools adapted to the reality of the local world.
