The director of the AOC, Miquel Estape, has participated in the Global Government Digital Summit, held in Ottawa (Canada) on October 21 and 22. Organized by Global Government Forum, this global summit is an annual event that brings together national and departmental digital heads from around the world to openly and informally discuss the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in the public sector. It is the third time that the AOC has been invited to the Global Government Forum to present its experience in shared digital services and interoperability to more than 2.000 public entities. The Global Government Digital Summit is open to national and federal public servants working as national digital leaders, departmental heads of digital, data and IT and heads of the digital profession.
Miquel Estape participated in two round tables; in the first, "How do we achieve effective implementation of the cards?eres (wallets) and digital credentials?“, Estapé spoke about the potential of single sign-on systems in government and how these systems can be developed and deployed in a way that increases public trust and transparència of the government.
In the second round table, “How can we generate confidence in the Administration in the advanced use of data and artificial intelligence?", Estapé explained the commitment of the AOC to develop and publish reports of transparència about artificial intelligence algorithms which apply to the digital administration services offered by the AOC and which include an agile impact assessment methodology, with a plain and comprehensible language for citizens.
