The DESA'L service of the AOC obtains the certification of conformity with the ENS in the high category

The documentary repository of AOC services, DESA'L, has obtained the certification of conformity with the National Safety Scheme (ENS) in high category, in accordance with what is established in the Royal Decree 311/2022, which regulates the National Security Scheme. DESA'L is the service that allows the management of electronic documents and files of the Catalan public administrations during the processing period of these, while they remain open and until their closure, when they must be transferred to the archive definitive digital.

Obtaining this certificate certifies that the AOC's DESA'L meets the information security requirements required by law to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data.

DESA'L is the first AOC service accredited with this certification and is part of the AOC's strategy to obtain certification for the entire set of services it provides to public administrations. The AOC is the 14th public body to obtain this certification at state level and the second in the Catalan area.

Objectives of the ENS

The National Security Scheme (ENS) pursues the following main objectives:

  • Create the necessary security conditions in the use of electronic media, through measures to guarantee the security of systems, data, communications, and electronic services, which allows the exercise of rights and the fulfillment of duties through of these means.
  • Promote continuous security management.
  • Promote prevention, detection and correction, for better resilience in the scenario of cyber threats and cyber attacks.
  • Promote a homogeneous treatment of security that facilitates cooperation in the provision of digital public services when several entities participate. This means providing the common elements that must guide the actions of Public Sector entities and their technological suppliers in matters of information technology security.
