The AOC presents its cloud strategy at the AWS Summit

The Deputy Director of Operations of the AOC, Ruben Cortes, and the head of the Architecture Unit, Sergio Gutierrez, have presented at the #AWS Summit 2023 the cloud transformation process that the AOC has been carrying out over the last few years. This process aims to promote the digital transformation of the AOC to guarantee the quality of the services it offers.

The path to cloud transformation began in 2018 with the pilot service Hèstia, the digital service for managing social services for local authorities. Later, in 2021, it was the turn of the service Decidim, the Bústia Etica service and finally the DESA'L.

Gutiérrez detailed the new strategic cloud transformation plan initiated in 2022 with the reorganization of the AOC ICT Area and the adoption of DevOps, a new methodological approach that emphasizes communication, collaboration, integration, automation and measurement of the level of cooperation between software developers and other information technology professionals.
