The Digicanvis Observatory: share and inspire other councils
The Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the four Provincial Councils, the Catalan Association of Municipalities (ACM), the Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia (FMC) and Localret signed on October 24, 2016 the National Pact for a Digital Society, with the aim of joining forces and adding synergies and resources to better respond to citizens and administrations, and to place Catalonia as an international leader in the face of the challenges of the digital revolution.
Following the agreement reached, the Government, municipalities and municipalities undertake to work together and in a consensual manner, and with all those social actors who wish to join, on five basic areas of action:
Smart territory
The deployment of the smart government strategy of the Catalan Government (smartCAT), integrating and coordinating local and supralocal initiatives, and supporting companies to make Catalonia an internationally recognized smart country.
Digital administration
The impulse of a new Digital Administration, a product of the digitalization of the Catalan administrations, that goes beyond the extension of the use of digital technologies to take advantage of its transformative power in order to make an administration more agile, simple and effective.
Cybersecurity
The adoption of joint technological measures and tools in the field of cybersecurity and the protection of the rights of individuals and companies in the new digital society.
Infrastructure strategy
The deployment and coordinated management of technological infrastructures and electronic communications that ensure equal opportunities for all the territories, citizens and companies of Catalonia.
industrial internet
The development of Industry 4.0, spreading among the business fabric the importance of the disruption that Industry 4.0 can cause in the market, empowering human capital to respond to the demand for new profiles and promoting the necessary infrastructure.
