On March 13, the Digital Government Congress (CGD) will host two fundamental sessions for the future of the Administration: a round table on its reform and the closing speech by the Secretary of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation, Albert Tort.
These two sessions follow the logic of the slogan "The Smart Government Revolution" and will emphasize the digital transformation of the public sector following the three fundamental pillars of inclusivity, proactivity and sustainability to continue advancing in this (r)evolution that puts citizens at the center.
Towards a more efficient and closer Administration
The round table "The reform of Public Administration” will put on the table the great challenges facing the Administration in Catalonia and the need for structural transformation to guarantee a more modern, transparent and effective governance model.
The debate will feature the participation of members of the Commission of Experts for the Transformation of the Administration (CETRA), who will provide different perspectives on the reform:
🔹 Xavier Trabado, representative of the Table of Third Social Sector Entities of Catalonia, will explain the importance of a more accessible and equitable Administration.
🔹 Narcissus Mir, of the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia and former public director of the Generalitat, will provide his vision from the technical and management fields.
🔹Esther Pano, from the Carles Pi i Sunyer Foundation – University of Barcelona, will share an analysis based on the evaluation of public policies and their impact on citizens.
The session will be moderated by Eva Gimenez, Secretary General of the Presidency, and will emphasize the strategic lines to achieve a more agile, efficient and digitalized Administration.
Closing of the Congress: a commitment to public innovation
The Secretary of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation, Albert Tort, will be in charge of putting an end to the Congress, with a intervention that will reaffirm the Government's commitment to a friendlier, more open and efficient Administration.
In his speech, he will share the need to move towards smarter public administrations in a more connected Catalonia, and will highlight the need to take advantage of the potential of technology to build an Administration oriented towards serving citizens.
With these sessions, the Digital Government Congress becomes, once again, the essential space for debate and reflection to promote the future of digital governance in Catalonia.
