The Santa Perpètua de Mogoda City Council has created one web portal that centralizes all open government initiatives. This portal not only promotes access to municipal information, but also in facilitates understanding thanks to interactive tools and personalized views. This improves the transparència and empowers both citizens and public workers, providing them with easy and effective access to municipal information.
City councils generate a large amount of information, but it is often scattered across different departments, making it difficult to make informed decisions. In addition, this information is published on portals transparència from the organization's point of view, making it difficult for citizens to find and understand the data they really need.
The solution is to create a single web space where citizens and public workers can consult all the information of the municipality in an easy and comprehensible way. The portal personalizes the contents according to the user's profile, shows them in visual formats for a better understanding and allows the analysis of government action from different points of view, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the indicators of city It also has a virtual assistant that helps you find and understand information.
This initiative is documented in theDigiCanvis Observatory in the areas of open government, data-driven governments and people-centered services.
Com funciona?
El Open Government web portal centralizes the municipality's open government initiatives from different sections: Accounts Payable, Open Data, Complaints Channel, Ágora and City Indicators.
The portal displays personalized information based on the profile of the user who accesses it (citizens, councilors or heads of service) and has the following functionalities:
- It incorporates a set of filters by category that facilitates the search according to the needs and criteria of each user.
- Account performance information is displayed using a business intelligence tool (Power BI) in the form of infographics, which can be downloaded in PDF format.
- Open datasets are displayed in table form, so the user can choose which columns to view and search within the table. The data can be printed and downloaded in different formats.
- Both account performance information and open data sets are classified according to the SDG categories. Open data and city indicators are also classified according to City Protocol Society standards.
Finally, the portal offers support in searching and understanding the content through a virtual assistant, called Govi, available at two levels:
- A chatbot in the citizen interface, which offers accurate and useful answers to queries about the content of the web.
- A chatbot in the interface of councilors that uses OpenIA to query the content of the memories of all services in natural language.
What are the benefits?
