Request a vote by mail with the IDCAT Certificate
In the next elections to the Parliament of Catalonia that will be held on May 12, people who wish to do so will be able to request a vote by mail, electronically or in person. To make the online request, you will need to identify yourself with a recognized digital certificate, such as l'idCAT Certificate, a certificate issued by the AOC, which allows this procedure to be carried out quickly, easily and safely.
The request for the vote by mail can be made from March 19, 2024 to May 2.

To apply, go to www.idcat.cat and fill out the application form. You will then need to go to a Registration Entity to validate your identity to complete the application.
Once you have downloaded and installed it on your computer, you can use it to do procedures with the administrations.

Dates for the 2024 parliamentary elections for postal voting:
• Tuesday, March 19: the period to request a vote by mail opens.
• Monday, April 22: the documentation for voting by mail begins to be sent and the deadline for depositing the vote by mail opens.
• Thursday, May 2: the deadline for requesting a vote by mail ends.
• Sunday, May 5: the sending of documentation to vote by mail ends.
• Wednesday, May 8: the deadline for depositing the vote by mail ends, although this date may vary if the Electoral Board so decides.
