Digital Government Congress 2025: the revolution of smart governments to improve public services
The Minister of Culture, Natalia Garriga, the general director of Cultural Heritage, Sònia Hernández, the deputy general director of Archives and Documentary Management, Joaquim Borràs, and the president of the Professional Association of Archives and Document Management of Catalonia, Francesc Giménez, have presented the strategic plan "Archives 2030. Archives and document management plan for Catalonia".
It is a transversal instrument through which the Government will make it possible for the archives and their professionals to adapt to the paradigm changes of today's society with technological progress, looking to the future, in the context of Agenda 2030.
The plan, with a marked strategic nature, was approved by the Government of the Generalitat last July 25. Promoted by the Department of Culture, it has been drawn up in collaboration with the Department of the Presidency and the competent departments in the field of digital policies, in addition to citizen participation and the professional sector.
In this sense, the AOC participates as a support actor to promote the document management framework model in the context of digital administration and information management. This framework model includes data governance (planning, production and management), access to information and transparency with respect for the protection of personal data in order to guarantee citizens' rights.
