Good practice of automation and open data in the agendas of senior municipal officials
This post is over 1 year old. Content may not be up to date.
From the AOC we consider key the automation of data in the portal of transparency; it is favored that the information is as up-to-date as possible and, at the same time, with the minimum intervention of the municipal personnel.
In this sense, l'Area of Innovation, local governments and territorial cohesion of the Diputació de Barcelona has worked a good practice: the improvement in the current visualization of the agenda of the high positions and his link with the register of groups of interest in the municipal web and in the portal of transparency.
This good practice responds to compliance with the publication of:
The Institutional Agenda of Senior Officials (item 1.1.5), Article 55.1.c.
The Register of Stakeholders (item 6.1.6), Article 46, section 1; Article 49 (1) (c).
This improvement consists to create a new module on municipal websites with the support of the Diputació de Barcelona, which allows maintaining the agenda of senior officials in an integrated way in the register of interest groups of the Generalitat de Catalunya. In this way, municipal technicians can easily incorporate the management of stakeholders in their day-to-day work.
The stakeholder agenda managed from the municipal website, in addition, feeds the municipal transparency portal offered by the AOC consortium (XGT).

What are the advantages for the local body?
El municipal technician you only have to update the information once on the municipal website and this is also published on the transparency portal and, soon, on the municipal and Barcelona Provincial Council open data portals.
The agenda of senior officials is integrated with the registration of interest groups, and simplifies their management and updating.
With the integrated management of the agendas of senior executives, the obligations of active publicity are complied with on the one hand, and the code of conduct for senior executives and good governance, signed by local entities, on the other.
