AOC presents Open Government and Good Governance services to a delegation of mayors from North Macedonia
The Data Ethics Committee has officially begun its activities, marking a turning point in the management of data in the Administration of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Set up last October, this committee represents a significant step forward in the ethical approach to the massive uses of data within the public administration.
With the celebration of its second meeting on January 24, 2024, the Data Ethics Committee has consolidated itself as a key piece in the digital transformation of the Catalan public administration, focusing on the management of data focused on ethics.
Functions and Responsibilities
The key functions of the Committee include:
Multidisciplinary Composition of the Committee
The group is made up of a total of 25 members, among whom are professionals from the technological, legal and humanitarian fields, workers from different sectors and representatives of the departments of the Generalitat and other public entities. The committee is chaired by the Director General of Digital Administration, Núria Espuny, while the voices are divided into three intended for professionals in the sector, three for the Public Administration and four each intended for one of the following institutions: theCatalonia Cybersecurity Agency, Center for Telecommunications and Information Technologies (CTTI),Institute of Statistics of Catalonia and the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia.
