Law 3/2015, of 11 March, on fiscal, financial and administrative measures, which entered into force on 14 March 2015, has amended Law 2/2014, on fiscal measures for 2014. :
“Article 102. Modification of Law 2/2014
The title and section 1 of the seventh additional provision of Law 2/2014, of 27 January, on fiscal, administrative, financial and public sector measures are amended, which are worded as follows:
Seventh. Empowerment of public administrations in relation to access to personal data »
Enabling the public administrations competent in matters of social services:
1.1. Enabled public administrations competent in the field of social services so that they can check, ex officio and without the prior consent of the persons concerned, the personal data declared by the applicants for the benefits regulated by Law 12/2007, of 11 October, of social services, and by the decree approving the Social Services Portfolio, and, where applicable, the identifying data, the residence, the kinship, the situation of disability or dependency, the patrimony and the income of the members of the economic unit of coexistence, in order to check whether the conditions necessary for the receipt of the benefits are met at all times and in the amount legally recognized.
1.2. For the purposes of the provisions of section 1.1, the economic unit of cohabitation is understood to be that formed by the beneficiary with his or her spouse or common-law partner and relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity who live together in the same address. .
The legal authorization for 2014 covered only the Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya responsible for social services.
