The call for the 2023 Collective Initiative Award is open
The Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda, through the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN), has opened an aid line of 26,5 million euros to encourage the implementation of facilities of renewable thermal energy in different sectors of the economy. The call, endowed with resources from the European Next Generation funds, aims to accelerate the energy transition in Catalonia.
This line aims to promote the installation of biomass equipment, solar thermal, aerothermal, geothermal and small heat networks. Companies, freelancers, public administrations and non-profit organizations can benefit from it.
The application deadline begins August 2, 2022 and ends December 31, 2023 or when available funds are exhausted.
The total amount of aid amounts to 26,5 million, which are divided into 2 incentive programs. Program 1 for companies, freelancers and entities that carry out economic activity and program 2 for public administrations and entities that do not carry out economic activity.
The call allocates 18,54 million euros to program 1 and 7,95 million euros to program 2.
For program 1 the aid will be 45%, 40% or 35% of the eligible cost of the project depending on whether it is, respectively, a small, medium or large company. For program 2 the intensity of the aid will be 70% of the eligible cost of the project. In both cases, an additional 5% increase in aid is contemplated for municipalities with up to 5.000 inhabitants.
