Three AOC AI systems included in Social Services Algorithm Radar unveiled at MWC 2024
We have been working at the AOC for a few months now to promote the use of information banners in the headlines of some of our services. We do it with a dual purpose, promote the use of digital public services and at the same time to promote the pedagogy of the rights of citizens when it relates to public administrations. It is worth noting that overall it is a simple, practical and quick action, and that with almost zero costs, it can reach many people.
Already an entry from last November 25th (see detail) We told you about a first successful experience of using a banner to encourage the request to vote by mail in the elections to the Parliament of Catalonia through idcatMobil, but we also announced a second pilot test we had started: promoting access to “My space” through an information banner in open government services (e-Office, transparency and open data).
After a few weeks with the active banner below we will give you more details of the result.
The banner was activated in the town councils of Riells i Viabrea, Sant Celoni and Sant Just Desvern, in the Alt Empordà and Pla d'Urgell County Councils and in the AOC Consortium itself.
The testing period was from November 23, 2021 to February 1, 2022.
The total number of interactions was 589 total clicks. Almost 70% of the clicks (397) meant access to "My Space", while about 30% (192) closed the banner (and therefore will not appear again).
Ratings:
Despite being a short-term test and for a short period of time, from the AOC we are very satisfied with the results obtained and we believe that we must continue to bet on promoting this new way of communicating based on a attractive banner, focusing on promoting the own digital services of the entity, and the digital rights of citizenship.
With this context the next February 15 from the AOC we will activate from the banner to the more than 600 us that have My Space, and at the same time have it directly redirected from the item "My personal space" of the transparency portal.
We will also expand the publication of the banner in the processing environments to the new version of the e-TRAM (already in production and with more than 200 entities that already have their solution migrated to the new environment (link for more information on e-TRAM 2.0).
What if I'm not interested in having the banner?
If you do not want to have the active banner (or do not have it activated by default and want to activate it), it is very simple. Just go to the open government services menu (editor role), and access “Customize transparency” / banner, you can turn it on or off so that it does not appear on your portal.
We hope you enjoy this new feature to promote digital transformation services to the public, and in future posts on this blog we will be expanding the information on results and access to "My space" of the citizen from the banner.
