The DigiChanges Observatory consolidates itself as a space for inspiration and learning among local administrations

From the AOC we have evaluated the impact and usefulness of the DigiChanges Observatory among local entities through a pollThe results confirm its consolidation as a reference space: 75% of participants know it, more than 80% of users make recurring use of it and the degree of trust in the published information is 7,8 out of 10.

The Observatory has thus become a living space to learn about real experiences, learn from what other administrations are doing and guide digital transformation projects in the local world, reducing uncertainty and risks when making decisions.

You can consult the full survey report, which details the data, the assessments of local entities and the main improvements identified. Results of the DigiCanvis Observatory assessment survey.

Inspiration that builds confidence

The DigiCanvis files are consulted mainly to find out what other administrations are doing, identify good practices and reduce risks in project planning. More than half of the people surveyed indicate that the Observatory has contributed to improving the planning of digital initiatives to its entity.

The qualitative responses reinforce this idea: having real cases, with benefits and drawbackseres explained, helps to propose changes with greater certainty and judgment. Sharing experiences generates trust and reduces the feeling of isolation, especially in entities with fewer resources.

The challenge: moving from inspiration to action

Despite this positive assessment, direct replication of projects is still limited: only 11% of those surveyed say they have applied some DigiCanvi, while more than half are considering it.

The difficulties have less to do with the value of the initiatives than with internal factors: lack of time and resources, insufficient digital maturity or difficulties in promoting changes, especially in small municipalities.

The challenge is clear: to reduce the distance between inspiration and effective implementation, with more support and accompaniment to local entities to make these projects a reality.

The identified improvement lines

The survey has also allowed us to collect specific proposals to increase the impact of the Observatory:

  • Expand the practical information in the sheets (indicative costs, project evolution, replicability guidelines).
  • Facilitate contact and exchange between administrations.
  • Improve the search and classification of initiatives.
  • Incorporate training and support materials.
  • Intensify dissemination and strengthen the community dimension.

The DigiCanvis Observatory has a solid and recognized foundation. Now we need to continue evolving it so that more local entities can turn the inspiration into real and shared projects.

We invite you to discover the projects already published in theDigiCanvis ObservatoryAnd if you have successfully implemented a digital transformation project or have a pilot experience you want to share, send us your DigiCanvi proposal!
