Specifically, this protection is reinforced through:
• Web Application Firewall (WAF): inspects incoming traffic and blocks suspicious requests before they reach our infrastructure, thus strengthening data protection and service continuity.
• DDoS attack mitigation: Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack mitigation capability helps preserve availability even in high-pressure situations or volumetric attacks.
• Intelligent management and control of bots: allows detection and limitation of malicious automated traffic and attempts at abuse (such as fraud or automation), reducing risks without penalizing legitimate uses.
2. Speed and efficiency in content delivery
Thanks to content delivery network (CDN) technology, the physical distance between the server and the user is no longer an obstacle. Cloudflare stores and distributes static content across a global network, so that when a person accesses an AOC digital service, part of the content can be served from the network point closest to the user, reducing latency and offering a much more agile and fluid user experience.
3. Guaranteed availability and resilience: “always online”
This integration will increase the availability and resilience of the AOC's digital services. Cloudflare's incident mitigation capabilities and intelligent traffic balancing allow it to absorb peak demand and reduce the risk of disruptions, helping to ensure that critical processes are operational when they are needed most and improving continuity in the event of degradations or partial unavailability.
4. Modern protocols and encryption: current industry standards
Finally, integration with Cloudflare facilitates the implementation of modern and secure protocols such as HTTP/3 and TLS 1.3, aligning the AOC's digital services with the most current industry standards.
