The digital wallet project idCAT is presented to the CNIS

The AOC has participated in the National Congress of Innovation and Public Services (CNIS) held in Madrid on February 25 and 26 where it presented some of its most outstanding projects, focused on digital transformation, citizen care and the improvement of public services.

The Deputy Director of Digital Transformation of the AOC, Pep Budi, participated in the session “The new GreenlandIA: conquering the smart work Lugar“a session with the aim of defining AI governance that guarantees a smart work secure, transparent and people-centered. The debate highlighted critical dilemmas about whether automation turns employees into "validators" without professional criteria, the risk of externalizing public criteria into opaque private algorithms and the dehumanization of processes such as sanctions or personnel selection. With regard to digital identity, the head of the AOC's Services area, Xavier Llebaria, participated in the session “eIDAS 2 and Identity Wallets: from the European framework to real implementation” where he presented the current status and roadmap of the Portfolio project idCAT of the AOC, which will offer Catalan citizens a digital wallet aligned with the European EUDI Wallet, and which will allow authentication, electronic signature and management of verifiable attributes.

The last intervention of the AOC at CNIS2026 was that of the director of the AOC, Miquel Estape, which together with Jose Joaquin de Haro, head of the Administrative Modernization and ICT Service of the Albacete Provincial Council, addressed the “Reuse, data and technological sovereignty: keys to sustainable public AI".
