Beginning February 4 2026, EACAT classic will stop working permanently and all procedures must be carried out exclusively from the new EACAT, which is consolidated as the only operational platform.
The old URL https://www.eacat.cat/ will continue to operate but will redirect to an information page with the access link to the new EACAT.
The new EACAT is a renewed platform that redefines the work experience, with a more efficient, accessible and easy-to-use tool. It incorporates an intuitive design, a friendly and inclusive language and navigation designed to guarantee an optimal experience for all users.
Where you will find the functionalities ofEACAT Classic to new EACAT?
The new EACAT integrates all the functionalities ofEACAT Classic, with significant improvements and a clearer, more logical and usable structure. However, some features change name or location within the new platform.

What's new in the new EACAT?
Beginning February 4, new functionalities are activated in the new EACAT:
- For all users:
- The “In draft” tray, which groups all the drafts of the procedures and the “To sign” tray, which groups all the procedures pending signature (only applies to the AOC Consortium web forms).
- The generic submission recommender, which allows you to search before starting it to see if there is any specific service from the entity that suits your needs. The submission will continue to be a PDF form, as before.
- For the entity's managers:
- Registration, deregistration, modification, activation and deactivation of users.
- Assigning permissions to AOC services. All permissions for existing AOC services in EACAT Classic have been automatically migrated to the new EACAT.
- Assigning permissions to Via Oberta as an AOC service by the interoperability manager in the entity.
- Consultation of the Register of Qualified Officials (RFH).
How is the new one processed? EACAT?
Currently, the form technology is the same as it already existed, although they will gradually be transformed into HTML technology.
At this moment, in the new EACAT different people live together types of forms:
- PDF forms
- Web forms of the Generalitat
- AOC Consortium web forms, both old and new

Remember that you will only be able to initiate procedures and/or consult those services that your manager has given you access to through the new mailbox system.
Mass mailing and the new notice system
A new version of the service will be rolled out soon. Sending information, writings and documents (Massive submission), as well as the new notification system that will improve the management of procedures and communication with users.
Until this deployment is effective:
- The processing is carried out using the old mass submission application.
- The notification system works with the existing configuration in EACAT Classic, without the possibility of modifying it until the new system goes into operation.
