The AOC participates in the presentation of the first results of the Data Space for urban infrastructures led by the FEMP and the Mataró City Council

The City Council of Mataró, with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), held an evaluation day of the first months of operation of the Center of Excellence and Data Office (CEOD) of Mataró: a space that is integrated into the EDINT project - Data Spaces for Smart Urban Infrastructures, promoted and led by the FEMP and funded by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, in collaboration with the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Public Service, through Red.es. 

The meeting brought together representainstitutional stakeholders, international experts, technology companies and technical managers to share the progress achieved and project the evolution of the model towards a new stage of consolidation. 

The round table “Data as an engine of transformation” brought together representainstitutional leaders, experts in digital administration and specialists in technological governance, to address the challenges and opportunities of the data economy from a local and supramunicipal perspective. This table was attended by Tony Merino, manager of the Mataró City Council; Eva Guijarro, head of the Digital Transformation and Technologies Area of ​​the Localret Consortium; Miquel Estape, director of the Open Administration Consortium of Catalonia; Karma Peiró, executive director of the Visualization for Transparency Foundation; i Josep Lluís Checa, general director of the TecnoCampus Foundation.

Finally, the keynote speech was given by the expert in digital culture and technological transformation Genís RocaTitled “Data, Cities, People and Future”, Roca carried out an intensive review of the historical journey of artificial intelligence and how the intelligent use of information can contribute to building more efficient, humane cities and prepared for the challenges of the future.
