The AOC, committed to the values and challenges of the Safer Internet Day (which this year is celebrated on February 11) will continue with the strategy, initiated in 2024, of obtaining certification in accordance with the National Security Scheme (ENS) for the entire set of services it provides, guaranteeing public administrations and citizens security and confidence in its services.
So, your roadmap for the 2025 establishes as its objective to prepare the bases, at information systems levels, to obtain a complete certification of the rest of the services, in the year 2026, adding them to the list of services that have already achieved certification in accordance with the ENS (SAVE IT, VÀLID i PSI).
Obtaining this certificate, regulated in Royal Decree 311/2022, which regulates the National Security Scheme, certifies that the AOC's services meet the information security requirements that ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.
The National Security Scheme
With the achievement of its first ENS certification for Desa'l, the AOC became the 14th public entity to achieve this certification at the state level and the second in Catalonia.
The National Security Scheme (ENS) pursues the following major objectives: targets:
- Create the necessary security conditions in the use of electronic media, through measures to guarantee the security of systems, data, communications, and electronic services, which allows the exercise of rights and the fulfillment of duties through of these means.
- Promote continuous security management.
- Promote prevention, detection and correction, for better resilience in the scenario of cyber threats and cyber attacks.
- Promote a homogeneous treatment of security that facilitates cooperation in the provision of digital public services when several entities participate. This means providing the common elements that must guide the actions of Public Sector entities and their technological suppliers in matters of information technology security.
Safer Internet Day
El Safer Internet Day has become, over the years, a reference event for all those who work in providing digital services. The event is held on the first Tuesday of February, so this year it is celebrated on February 11. Having started as an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004 and incorporated by the Insafe network as one of its primeeres actions in 2005, Safer Internet Day has grown beyond its traditional geographical area and is currently celebrated in over 180 countries and territories around the world.
From cyberbullying to social media and digital identity, each year Safer Internet Day aims to raise awareness of emerging issues in the digital environment and the latest concerns.
