Miquel Estapé presents the vision of the AOC to local tax authorities and tax bodies throughout the State
The Girona Provincial Council's Electronic Administration Support Office, in collaboration with the AOC Consortium, has launched an innovative project to automate the publication of datasets on the Transparency Portal.
This new functionality, aimed at municipalities affiliated with the Provincial Council's file management service, allows extract data from the manager and publish it automatically on the portalThe first data set that has been integrated is that of the calls for plenary sessions.
Every night, the system automatically extracts information from each entity's case manager database. It then builds a structured dataset and sends it to the AOC servers, which are responsible for upload it to the Transparency Portal corresponding.
To enable automatic publishing, all that is required is for the person with the editing role of the Transparency Portal (via EACAT) access the corresponding item on the portal and activate the option to make the new automation visibleThe process is very simple and you just have to do it one time only to have the data —in table format— automatically published on the Transparency Portal.
This functionality has already been successfully validated by the pilot municipalities of Anglès, Les Preses, Porqueres and Portbou, who have given it a very positive assessment.
After a couple of months of testing, the AOC has already configured the system for the rest of the municipalities from which the Girona Provincial Council can extract data. Now, each entity only needs to activate automatic publication on its portal.
Key benefits of this initiative
A model to replicate
This project is a step forward towards a more digital, accessible and efficient administration, and is fully aligned with the interoperability and administrative simplification objectives.
From the Girona Provincial Council and the AOC we encourage the rest of councils and supra-municipal bodies to join in and promote the use of open data and automated processes as a tool to promote transparency and good governance, while helping with administrative simplification for local entities.
