The Barcelona Provincial Council and the UAB offer training on data governance and artificial intelligence in public administration

The Barcelona Provincial Council, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), offers two training itineraries in the format of university micro-credentials on data governance and artificial intelligence in public administration aimed at AI and data governance managers, analysts and project managers in the public sector.

With a 100% practical approach applied to the local world, this training itinerary will provide the ability to design, evaluate and lead projects with real public impact.

Once the training itinerary is completed (which begins on November 24, 2025), you will obtain the Specialist title in data and artificial intelligence in public administration recognized by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), with the corresponding academic certificate and the recognition of ECTS credits. These micro-credentials are subsidized by the European Union (free for workers of local authorities in the province of Barcelona who meet the requirements).

To obtain the degree, you must complete two microcredentials: one generic and one specialization.

Microcredential 1: common and mandatory

-Fundamentals of data governance and AI in AAPP

Microcredential 2: You must choose one of the following two options:

                -Management, data analytics and use of AI → focused on technical profiles

                -Deployment of data governance and AI projects → focused on strategic or command profiles.
