AOC Support advances towards a digital support and training model: 2025 review
presentations and videos of the training sessions on artificial intelligence (AI) and data protection, aimed at staff from the Generalitat and the local world are now available. These two days, held on June 12 and 16, 2025 and organized by the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) with the collaboration of the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC), aimed to guide public personnel in the appropriate application of the European Regulation on Artificial Intelligence (RIA) and in its integration with data protection regulations.
The heads of innovation services at the AOC Carme Callés i David Pastor, participated in the conferences where it was explained how a useful, ethical and guaranteed artificial intelligence, specially designed for the local public sector and always with the focus on the protection of fundamental rights. This commitment has been translated into a specific tool: the algorithmic transparency reports, which we are standardizing to offer as a service to the local world.
During the session, they shared general criteria to take into account to guarantee the effective protection of the right to privacy, personal data protection and security, especially in the deployment of AI systems.

Most of these cases have their algorithmic transparency report, with a clear explanation of the risks, the measures applied to eliminate or minimize them, and the benefits for both citizens and public administrations.
