This workshop, held on April 4 at the CCCB, aims to analyze how to improve the experience and relationship of digital public administration with digital nativesFor this reason, a group of people from among 18 and 30 years old with whom they worked throughout a morning and were made to reflect on how they relate to public administrations and how they would like to do so.
New generations, technology and the way in which young people relate to public administration raise new questions to be resolved.
Frustration and demotivation in the relationship with public administrations
In relation to the relationship between citizens and public administrations, a low activity of young people between 16 and 29 years old in interactions with public administration, especially through digital platforms. This age group, known as digital natives, state that there are barriers that generate frustration and demotivation, making it difficult for a fluid and efficient relationship between young citizens and digital public administration.
Prior to the workshop, an analysis, research and a series of interviews were conducted in which it was detected that digital natives perceive interactions with public administrations with adjectives such as slowness, lack of communication and complexity in the procedures. The lack of clarity in the processes, the difficulty in understanding the terminology and the lack of accessibility in the digital platforms are some of the main concerns expressed.
For this reason, the AOC, as a provider of digital services in collaboration with the Catalan public administrations, needs to know the needs of the new generations, new users of these services, so that they can respond to their concerns and ways of interacting.
A workshop to detect the needs of digital natives
For the detection of concerns and needs of young people in relation to public administrations, the AOC organized a workshop for young people between 18 and 30 years old.
