Several municipalities in the provinces of Tarragona and Barcelona have begun piloting the integration of their taxes and fines, within the project “El meu Espai”. In this way, its citizens can now access “El meu Espai” and view the status of your taxes. This new functionality is possible thanks to the integration between “El meu espai"and the tax management bodies to which collection is delegated.
The municipalities currently participating in the pilot are:
DIBA (Barcelona):
- Castellar del Vallès.
- Walls of the Vallès.
- Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
- Ripollet.
BASE (Tarragona):
Those municipalities of Barcelona and Tarragona who want to propose themselves for the pilot phase of integration can fill in the following support form expressing their interest.
During the first phase, the visualization, however, will not be inter-administrative, and therefore, a person from the Roca del Vallès citizenship, when accessing El Meu Espai from the City Council of Roca del Vallès, will only display your taxes and fines corresponding to this municipality.
Institutional complicity: the 4 ORGTs, compromised
This step forward is possible thanks to the collaboration and commitment of the tax management bodies of the four Catalan provincial governments. (the Local Network of Municipalities of the Girona Provincial Council – XALOC, the DIBA Tax Management Agency, the Autonomous Agency for Local Tax Management and Collection, and the BASE-Revenue Management Agency of the Tarragona Provincial Council) and the AOC.
This integration representa a big step towards a proactive, personalized and 100% digital administration model, where citizens can easily consult their local tax situation and associated fines, in a unified, clear and secure way.
From the AOC, we continue to bet on inter-administrative collaboration as a key driver for improving the citizen digital experience and make the Digital Government of Catalonia a reality.
The digital transformation of public services continues to advance, and today we are in luck: we already have piloting the integration of taxes and fines in El Meu Espai, local citizen folder of the Catalan administrations.
The four tax management and collection agencies of Catalonia and the AOC collaborate within the framework of the Network of Open Governments of Catalonia for the integration of tax activity with El meu espai with the aim of facilitating access, visualization and monitoring for citizens.
