Why is it not necessary to register with Representa for accredited representations with a representative certificate?
The service It represents has recently incorporated the possibility ofto inform the sense name on their portals. This improvement allows users to indicate the name by which they identify themselves, regardless of what appears on their official identity document.
For now, this modification has been applied to the service screens and notifications generated by the platform, with the aim of facilitating a more respectful experience aligned with each person's identity, thus promoting a more inclusive and gender-sensitive administration.
This incorporation occurs following the request of the Catalan Ombudsman, from which the possible incorporation of the name heard was analyzed in the different AOC services intended for citizens (eNOTUM, eTRAM, Representa, etc.) by virtue of:
- Law 11/2014, of October 10, to guarantee the rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender and intersexuals and to eradicate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.
- AGREEMENT GOV/45/2022, of March 15, approving the Strategy to incorporate reference to non-binary, meaningful names and family diversity in administrative documents and information systems, and creating the Interdepartmental Commission for the Implementation and Monitoring of this Strategy

In this sense, its incorporation was considered appropriate and legally justified and has been incorporated into the roadmap of the different services, as a global strategy to guarantee the rights of the LGTBI+ community.
