What documentation is needed to apply for theidCAT Certificate? According to current regulations, to obtain theidCAT Certificate required:
- Be over 18 years old (can be requested from the day after turning 18).
- Have an address of e-mail.
- Submit a valid identification document (not expired). Accepted:
- Spanish ID card (on paper or through the official MiDNI application)
- ID card from any member country of the Schengen area.
- Passport.
- Foreigner Identity Card (TIE).
- European Union Citizen Registration Certificate (accompanied by an official document with a photograph, such as a passport or ID card from the country of origin)
If you have a ID card or passport from another countrys (outside the Schengen area), it will be necessary to provide, in addition to the original, a photocòpia.
Other important considerations
- The TIE (Foreigner Identity Card) is used to prove the NIE if it has a photograph. If it is in the process of being renewed, its validity is extended according to regulations.
- The EU Citizen Registration Certificate It must always be accompanied by a document with a photograph.
