Discovering five of the eight axes of the Digital Government 2025 Congress

El 2025 Digital Government Congress, which will take place on the days March 12 and 13 in Barcelona, is structured around eight strategic axes that address the main challenges and opportunities of digitalization in public administrations. These axes range from digital training to sustainability, emphasizing people-centered transformation. Five of these axes address key aspects such as efficiency, transparència, business services, cybersecurity and cultural change and emphasize a revolution at the service of citizens.

The five main axes

  • The axis on theefficient administration addresses the importance of digitalization to achieve an agile and efficient administration. This point will explore how emerging technologies can optimize internal processes and improve the management of public resources. This will be highlighted in the round table 'Public procurement of technology in an efficient and innovative way', where experts from Localret, Gencat-CTTI, Catalan Association of Municipalities and IE University will share solutions to transform public procurement processes through collaboration and innovation.
  • Open government and good governance. Transparent and participatory government is essential to gain the trust of citizens. This axis will explore how open data and citizen participation can promote good governance. The round table 'Open Government in action: local resources and experiences for a transparent administration' will gather representants from the Barcelona Provincial Council, Alella City Council, Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana City Council, AOC and Gencat-DGGO, who will share good practices and local experiences.
  • The axis relative to services to companies considers it essential to reduce bureaucracy to improve business competitiveness. This axis will address how administrations can streamline procedures and simplify procedures. The round table 'Reducing bureaucracy in the business environment: solutions and challenges' will feature experts from Gencat-OGE, the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, the Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition, COAC/City Council and CECOT, who will discuss strategies to facilitate the relationship between companies and administrations.
  • The axis focused on infrastructure and cybersecurity will analyze how to guarantee resilient services in the face of growing threats. At the round table 'Cyber ​​incident management in the local world', experts from Gencat-ACC, Tarragona City Council, Barcelona Provincial Council, Girona Provincial Council and Localret will share tools and practical cases to manage digital security incidents at a local level.
  • Cultural change and sustainability. Digital transformation is also a cultural change. This axis will emphasize the adoption of sustainable and efficient digital solutions. The session 'Bringing the workplace to the cloud', with the participation of AMB and Terrassa City Council, will show how the transition to the cloud can improve work flexibility and reduce environmental impact.
