At the AOC we continue to work to strengthen the quality of the digital services we offer to public administrations. One of the areas where there is still room for improvement is the management of Transparency portal, a key tool to guarantee access to public information and compliance with legal obligations.
In this sense, we have identified some practices that may hinder efficient management of the portal and compliance with obligations in terms of transparència, like now:
- Automatic items not visible or without information.
- Empty or duplicate manual items with automatic ones.
- Information scattered or published on more than one portal.
To help you reverse these dynamics, we offer several practical resources that facilitate more efficient, clear and aligned management with the principles of transparència:
Additionally, if you have more than one portal transparència, although the regulations do not explicitly prohibit it, the Law 19/2014 of transparència and the Decree 8/2021 establish that public information must be available in a clear, structured and accessible way. For this reason, we recommend:
- Centralize information in a single portal to facilitate access and understanding by citizens.
- Avoid dispersion and duplication of information.
The objective is to guarantee that public information is available in a clear, structured and useful way for citizens, and that technical teams have the necessary tools to manage it efficiently.
