The AOC organizes a workshop to conduct a strategic reflection on the AOC's electronic records archiving services
The city of Barcelona has been chosen as the host of the International Archives Congress of'International Council of Archives (ICA), which will be held between the 27, 30 and 2025 October XNUMX al Barcelona International Convention Center (CCiB).
El International Council of Archives is the international organization created in 1948 under the auspices of the UNESCO, which aims to ensure effective document management, preserve and make available the world's archival heritage through archives and professionals around the world. Every four years, the ICA promotes the holding of a world congress to bring together professionals in the sector and discuss the concerns and projects of archives on a global scale.
Under the title “Knowing pasts, creating futures”, the challenges faced by archival and document management professionals will be discussed. It is expected to welcome more than 2.000 professionals from all over the world, both from the sector and from other related sectors. The Congress will be co-organised by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona City Council and the Association of Archival and Document Management Professionals of Catalonia.
