How to make good use of Via Oberta? (VI): the procedures also expire
During the year 2024, the Via Oberta service of the AOC Consortium carried out a task of disseminating good practices regarding the proper use of interoperability services. With the following entry, we resume the publications.
In recent days, incidents have been received regarding the "Procedure expired" error that is returned when making some consumptions of data from the General State Administration.
This is due to the fact that the data issuers have blocked authorized queries to process aid and subsidies during the COVID-19 pandemic, as more than five years have passed.
In this sense, it is important to remember that authorizations are made to consult data within the framework of a procedure. If this procedure is no longer in force, as is the case with some COVID aid, consumption cannot be made for other procedures using the same code.
For this reason, if you encounter this error and need to consume the data for another procedure or consider that the same continues to be valid, you must submit a new authorization request with the updated regulations to manage the registration correctly.
That said, and to avoid this error being returned to you, we recommend that you review your procedures and check that you are not in this case or in other similar cases, such as consumption authorized at the time due to extraordinary stabilization processes.
