The Cybersecurity Agency promotes certification in the National Security Scheme for city councils

The Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia (ACC) has launched an initiative to enable all city councils in the country, regardless of their size or number of inhabitants, to obtain certification in accordance with the National Security Scheme (ENS) through the Agency's Technical Audit Body (OAT). 
 
The objective of this project is promote digital security of local public services, ensuring that all administrations have the necessary certificates to comply with current regulations on cybersecurity and information protection. This service It is free and will run until mid-2026 or until the allocated budget is exhausted..  

To be able to apply for the certification offered by the ACC you must have completed the process of adapting to the National Security Scheme (ENS).

In addition to promoting these certifications, the Agency also has a agreement with Localret which includes cybersecurity actions for the 23 town halls with more than 50.000 inhabitants, the 40 county councils, the Conselh Generau d'Aran and the 4 provincial councils. 

Both the conformity certifications and the actions of the agreement with Localret are part of the initiative RETECH, which includes a specific line of action for the protection of local administrations, within the framework of the  Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and is financed through the Next Generation Fund of the European UnionIt also has the support of the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), entity that depends on the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service
