In accordance with the agreement adopted by the Executive Committee on September 17, 2025, starting next January 14 2026 the specific procedure will be discontinuedEACAT which allows the sending of edicts between electronic boards of public entities.

This decision is mainly due to three reasons:
1. Low use of the service
The edictal transmission ofEACAT has been progressively losing prominence. For example, throughout 2024 only 1,000 people were registered 476 submissions, that is, an average of 1,27 shipments per day.

2. Existence of consolidated alternatives
Currently, EACAT has the procedure of generic delivery, which allows efficient communication between public entity registries and which, in fact, is already the most used channel for sending edicts. Therefore, it is a real, practical and fully available alternative.

3. Cost and impact of migration to the new EACAT
EACAT is immersed in a phased technological update process. The migration of the current version of the edictal transmission would imply a significant impact both on EACAT as e-TAULER. Taking into account the low use of the service and the existence of operational alternatives, this effort is not considered justified.
Conclusion
With all these elements on the table, and in accordance with the agreement adopted by the Executive Committee of September 17, 2025, from January 14, 2026 the specific procedure ofEACAT of edictal transmission will be discontinuedFrom then on, it will be the generic delivery which will guarantee communication between public entities in relation to advertisements and edicts.
