The Taula del Tercer Sector develops the first Catalan digital divide index with the collaboration of the AOC
The Josep Viader Auditorium of the Girona Provincial Council's House of Culture hosted the 1st Cybersecurity Conference for municipalities with less than 20.000 inhabitants in the Girona region. Organized by the Girona Provincial Council, this meeting was attended by theAOC,Catalonia Cybersecurity Agency, Localret Consortium,Sils City Council and the cybersecurity expert, Bruno Pérez Juncà.
The objective of the session, which was attended by around eighty technicians and elected officials, was to convey technical aspects and raise awareness of the risks related to the management of municipal information, provide information on how to protect yourself and publicize good practices that can be applied without large resources in the day-to-day tasks of the city council.
The Deputy Director of Technology of the AOC, Ruben Cortes, has explained the measures that the AOC takes to guarantee the cybersecurity of its services.
The session was also attended by the computer forensic expert and consultant Bruno Perez, in a presentation entitled "Current affairs and reality of cyberattacks". His intervention brought to the table such important aspects as vulnerabilities, the need for technical personnel and technological training in city councils, or the characteristics of the cybercrime industry, and combined these issues with the account of experiences and practical cases.
