- Open administration
TV3 documentary “Disconnected”: digital inclusion, a fundamental right
For four days, 19 Saudi government leaders, from local and national administrations and with a strong technological profile, participated in Barcelona in an intensive training on human-centered design (UX), participatory practices, data management, impact measurement i artificial intelligenceThe objective: to explore how to move towards a more open and citizen-oriented administration.
In this framework, The AOC shared its digital strategy and more than 20 years of experience driving the transformation of the Catalan public sectorWe explained how we went from an administration with a integrated digital model, based on three pillars: inter-administrative collaboration, provision of common services i simplification for citizens.
We also presented good practices in open government, how we incorporate the voice of citizens into the design of services, and data and AI usage experiences with ethical and transparent criteria. In addition, we showed impact measurement models which allow us to evaluate whether public policies generate real value.
The exchange was very enriching. Although Saudi Arabia is a leading country in digital government according to the UN, active citizen participation is still limited. This context reinforces a key idea that we also defend at the AOC: Digital transformation is not just about technology, but also about organizational culture, trust and open governance..
These types of initiatives are consistent with our vision: technology at the service of people, with transparency and citizen involvementAt the AOC we will continue to share knowledge and collaborate with other governments to move towards a more open, inclusive and innovative administration.
