When making a request for representation, by default and if there is no required documentation to be validated, it will go to the"Pending Acceptance" status, waiting for the party that did not make the request to explicitly accept the representation.
- If it has been created by the power of attorney (who grants the power of attorney), it must be accepted by the representative (who receives the power of attorney and will act on behalf of the power of attorney).
- If it has been created by the representative (who receives the powers and will act on behalf of the principal), it must be accepted by the principal (who grants the powers).
On the home tab, under the personal data, a box will appear with the representations that are "pending to be accepted".
The term available for to accept the representation is 40 calendar days, from your request. After this period without acceptance, the application and representation will automatically be cancelled will remain in the "cancelled" state.
The person who must accept the representation can do so in two ways:
- In person: by going to any administration that uses the Representa service, where a public worker can handle your request.
- Electronically: through the citizenship portal of the Representa service, authenticating with the valid mechanisms to do so.
- Once inside from the "Home" tab, you need to look for those representations that are listed as "Pending acceptance".
- By accessing the details of the same, you can accept the representation.
- Once the button is clicked, the representation will change to the "Valid" state, taking effect from that moment.
At any time during the validity of the representation, either party can cancel the representation.
