As you we have been remembering the last months, the services offered by the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) will no longer be offered through the ATEX5 service of the same DGT, but through the Data Intermediation Platform (PID) of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Service. Closing is scheduled for September 30, 2024.
The DGT services are classified into two types of modalities: sanctioning and non-sanctioning. Remember that, with respect to the premiumseres, the AOC processed the new authorizations ex officio; and, with respect to the latter, each entity had to request a new authorization since they are covered by specific regulations.
Regarding each, they are listed below some of the actions we advise you to carry out from your ens:
- The data that ATEX5 offered in its two services was a lot. The move to consume PID services has involved "splitting" the two services to comply with the principle of data minimization. So have you reviewed your procedures that still use ATEX5 data and detected the required data in the PID services? The consultation letter of services from the DGT will help you do this task if you have it pending.
- Having said that, have you taken the action of requesting the new authorizations to consume the services offered by the PID?
- Have you contacted your vendor to make the necessary integrations to consume DGT for the procedures you have authorized by PID? - Do you have all DGT consumption controlled by the areas of your organization? Is it possible that some still consume ATEX5?
Analyzing the public indicators of the AOC, it can be seen that during the months of July and August, thousands of ATEX5 consumptions continued. even more, one of these entities with a lot of activity has no authorization to consume DGT PID services. This may imply that, on the day of the closure of ATEX5, some body will be unable to, for example, notify traffic fines within the legal deadline, with the consequent economic and legal damage.
That is why all entities that still use ATEX5 have been contacted individually to ensure that, in the event that they are involved,eressats, request the relevant authorizations before the deadline indicated by the DGT.
