As already communicated in July, next September 13 between 15pm and 20pm there will be a cut in the idCAT Registration Entity service. The cut is due to the entry into production of a new version of the Registry Entities' operator website that includes some operational changes to the Certificat idCAT service. We detail them below:
Changes in the access URL to the idCAT operator website
The website of idCAT ER operators will change from the current https://www.idcat.cat:4443/ to https://scd.idcat.cat/
With this change we free the idCAT ERs from enabling the security ports and improve their usability. In order to be able to access this URL, no changes will need to be made to the computers and the operator cards will work as before. To facilitate the transfer, from now until the month of October, both URLs will work.
Realization of authentic copies
From the day of the intervention, those IDCAT ERs who wish to do so will be able to make authentic copies of the documentation (signed acceptance sheet and/or photocopy of the supporting document) from the ER idCAT operator's website.
This evolution facilitates the archiving of the documentation, since it will not be necessary to keep the documentation on paper in accordance with the current filing procedure.
See how this will be done digitization process and how to carry out the custody of the documentation.
Removal of postal address and contact telephone number in certificate requests
In accordance with the guiding principles of personal data protection, we stop collecting certain contact data in applications for idCAT certificates: postal address and mobile phone.
Until now this data was optional and has never been included in the certificate.
Disappearance of the suspension
From this intervention, the possibility of suspending a certified idCAT is removed, that is, the temporary annulment of the certificate (until its automatic authorization or revocation after 120 days of the suspension).
This fact implies, therefore, the elimination of the certificate enablement option.
Possibility of revocation by the citizen
Citizens, without needing to go to an ER idCAT, can revoke their certificate electronically. They will also be able to do so, as so far in any ER.
These changes are collected in idCAT Registration Entity support portal.
