We remind you that due to a change in the qualification of the cryptographic chip, from October 2023 the current T-CAT card will no longer be considered a qualified certificate according to ReIDAS.
This change will entail the revocation of the qualified certificates issued in the current system and the corresponding refund of the amounts paid, for the part proportional to the period of validity that these certificates still had to be revoked.
We take advantage of this circumstance to encourage you to replace these T-CATs that we will revoke with advanced software certificates, whenever possible. The advantages of the T-CAT P are that you can use it on multiple devices (mobile, tablet, computer), you don't need to install any specific software, or use a card reader, and it is used for most procedures that a worker or public employee must carry out . Consult them differences between T-CAT and T-CAT P.
You need to install the new software to make use of the new T-CAT Cards to make the changes. It is very important that all the listed changes are applied, in particular the new card software and the new version of the HostInstaller software. Consult the User manualuary.
From April 13th, and until the mass revocation of all certificates generated on Sm@rtCafe 7.0 chip cards:
You can have two certificates of the same type: there is no uniqueness.
They are requested by the EACAT, as you have done so far.
At the end of September (we will confirm the specific date) the AOC Consortium will massively revoke all certificates generated on the old cryptographic support (card).
The new cards have some small design changes, marked in yellow in the image below:
