The Department of the Presidency publishes a service for the councils they must draw up a census of facilities and sites with asbestos and must send this information to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities, in accordance with the Law.
To facilitate compliance with this obligation, the Generalitat de Catalunya has enabled a new servei specific, through which the information is sent to the Commission for the Eradication of Asbestos in Catalonia, attached to the Department of the Presidency.
With a single procedure es complies with the obligation of communication to the health, environmental and labor authorities, given that the Commission is represented, among others, by the departments of Health, Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda and Business and Work.
In the same procedure, instructions are provided so that this shipment also serves to fulfill one of the strategic objectives of the National Plan for the Eradication of Asbestos in Catalonia 2023-2032, which is the preparation of a materials inventory that contain asbestos in Catalonia.
