In connection with the exchange of cryptographic cards that we sent you announced last November 19, we put at your disposal el new software which you will need to install on all computers that operate with T-CAT digital certificates on the card.
This new software will be needed when we start a issue certificates to new cards, from April this year (the exact date will be confirmed later), which is why we recommend that you install it on your computers.
Once the new software is installed, you can verify it as indicated in the FAQ Minimum technical requirements to be a T-CAT Registration Entity.
In the same sense, with the aim of better preparing you for the change and being able to do tests in advance, you can request test cards from us of the new model through the usual procedure for requesting test certificates, with their established public price, which you will find at descriptive page of the T-CAT service.
Additionally, in service management teams (Subscriber folder and card generation equipment – ER T-CAT) an additional component will also need to be updated (HostInstaller, available here). In order to validate its correct installation, a pre-production signature test is required to validate that version 1.7.4 of the raapplet.jar is installed, as indicated in Minimum technical requirements to be a T-CAT Registration Entity.
Finally, to inform you that, with the aim of improving the security of communications within the Digital Certification Service (SCD), on March 1, 2023 at 15 p.m., they will be offered with a level of security from TLS 1.2. To verify the compatibility of equipment with TLS 1.2 before the day of the change, you can review the point in relation to connectivity as covered by the FAQ of Minimum technical requirements to be a T-CAT Registration Entity.
If you need more information, you can contact our Customer Care Center (CAU) through the Support portal of the T-CAT Registration Entities and the Support portal for T-CAT users.
