What is eIDAS and eIDAS certification?
It is the Regulation of the European Union no. 910/2014, relating to Electronic Identification and Trust Services (eiDAS), which establishes a legal framework for electronic identification and trust services in electronic transactions in the European Union. The main objective of eIDAS is to provide a climate of trust in the digital environment that allows for an increase in electronic transactions and, consequently, favors the effectiveness of public (and private) online services.
The eIDAS certification is an official recognition granted by the supervisory and control body with the assistance of independent and technically qualified entities that, in order to maintain it, must undergo follow-up audits every 2 years.
This recognition certifies that the services offered by the AOC meet the requirements established by eIDAS in terms of security, authenticity and trust.
