As we announced a few days ago this first quarter, work is underway to evaluate good practices in the field of communicative transparency on local government websites following the methodology. “Participate".
In this context, the transparency portal provided by the AOC in collaboration with the Network of Transparent Governments, helps you to comply with the Law of Transparency, but at the same time is a good tool to meet the criteria that the methodology "Infoparticipa" proposes.
If in a previous post we detailed the recommendations of "infoparticipa" of use of the advanced configuration modules of political organization, and economic indicators (see entry January 21, 2022), we will now focus on responding to a need incorporated this year in the 2021 - 2022 Assessment Guide:

And how can we solve this directly with the AOC transparency portal?
Just add a descriptive section to "Budget item" where you can refer to the terminology. As you have already done, for example Castelldefels:
You can see that before navigating through the different budget concepts (expenses per program, Revenue…), which simply require clicking the corresponding boxes, a first screen of "budget relative terminology" with directly adapted descriptions to the citizen is directly displayed. .
It is important to mention that in order to reach this result, we have worked together with the “Infoparticipa” team and the town councils of Castelldefels and La Ràpita. Here's how you can technically achieve the same result. You will see that it is possible in a quick and convenient way.

As a reference of the works, with a proposal of texts already worked, we leave you the link to the budget item of both Castelldefels City Council as of La Ràpita City Council who have already completed the content of “Budget Terminology”. You will see that they have solved it in a simple but practical way. This change meets the requirements set by "Infoparticipa", and at the same time provides a value to the public that before entering the details of income or expenses (by clicking on the existing drawers), can better understand the terminology used.
